COLLECTIVE WORSHIP

Next week, in our final week of term, we will continue our Advent reflections.  Thank you if your family has already contributed to our Class Prayer Bags – we have had some lovely responses.  We thank you all for your support this term and wish everyone a peaceful and merry Christmas.  Please remember that we finish on Fri 22nd at 1.30pm and return to start the Spring Term on Mon 8th January.

MUSICAL MORNING

Parents of children currently having music lessons are invited into school on Mon 18th Dec.  All children learning to play the violin will perform and children in yr 4-6 who are learning to play the guitar will perform for us in Collective Worship at 9am.

KS2 CHRISTMAS CONCERT

We are looking forward to our children in the junior classes (4-9) performing on Tues 19th at 10am and Wed 20th at 1.30pm.  Please make sure that you bring your tickets on the day as seats are limited due to fire restrictions.

PARISH AND COMMUNITY TEA PARTY

Our junior children will also perform at our Parish and Community Tea Party to entertain friends of St John’s on Tues 19th in the afternoon.  High tea will be served and we are sure that our visitors will have a lovely time and be very impressed with our pupils.

MINI VINNIES – MARY’S MEALS

Thank you to everyone who has sent in donations already for this year’s Advent appeal – back-packs for Mary’s Meals.  Our Mini Vinnies have decided to continue to collect items into the Spring Term, so please do send things in after Christmas if you haven’t already.  If you are unsure of what we need, please see the separate letter, or call in at the office.

CAROL SERVICE AT CHURCH

Our junior children will walk down to church on Thurs 21st for our Carol Service.  Please join us if you can at 9.30am.
