Celebrating Lent at St John’s

Thank you very much for your generous giving so far this Lent.  Thank you for the St Joseph’s Penny boxes which have already been returned.  

Thank you also for your support for our other fundraising initiatives such as our World Book Day book exchange – we raised £58.60

Year 3 – Ceremony of Reconciliation

Well done our Yr 3 pupils who behaved impeccably at church.  We pray for them as they continue on their journey towards First Communion.  

Thank you to all supportive parents and relatives.

PTFA Meeting 

Thank you to our PTFA who met on Monday.  Plans are well underway for our Easter Fayre – Wednesday 17thApril 3-4.30pm in our school hall.  We hope you can join us.

Easter Fayre

This year our Easter Fayre will be in the school hall on Wednesday 17thApril 3-4.30pm.  Please join us for Easter fun and games.  Stalls will sell sweet treats and refreshments including hot chocolate. 

Sports Report

We have been busy competing in various sports events recently.  Well done to all the pupils who participated in Tag Rugby and Cross country.  We are proud of you.

Mobile Phones

Please be reminded that mobile phones are not allowed in school.

Heights and Weights

Reception pupils will be measured on Tuesday 19thMarch by the School Nursing Team.

Data Collection sheets

Please check your data collection sheet and return to school as soon as possible – see separate letter home.  

Class 5 Assembly

Family and friends of children in Class 5 are invited to join us in school on Friday 22ndMarch, 10am.


Please can any money coming into school be put in an envelope, clearly marked, and placed in the tray during Registration rather than coming to the office window with it.  Thank you.

Theme Work Celebration

Please join us in school on Tuesday 26th March 2.30 – 3.15pm for our end of term Art Exhibition.  

Work from every child in school will be on display in the Hall, please do call in if you can.

Parents’ Evening

Letters will go home next Friday inviting you to make an appointment to see your child’s class teacher on Tuesday 30thApril.
