School Faith-life

Next week, Classes 1 & 7 will lead Collective Worship for us.  Our focus will be the Presentation of our Lord.

Please encourage your children to discuss this at home with you.

Snow closure

We will do all we can to avoid closure due to snow.  However if we have to close, we will give you as much notice as possible via text, 2BR radio station and our website.

Class 4 Assembly

Family and friends of children in Class 4 are very welcome to join us in school on Friday 8thFebruary, 10am for Class 4’s assembly.

Contact details

Please make sure that we have your current address and phone numbers.  This is especially important if we have to close due to snow.

Tots on Tyres

We are very excited for next week as all children in Class 1 will be on bikes!  Through the Burnley Sports Partnership, we are taking part in Tots on Tyres.

This involves Reception age pupils starting to learn to ride using balance bikes. We are sure they will love it – good luck Mrs Wilkinson!

School uniform

Please can I remind you that all children should wear school shoes, not black trainers or black boots.

If you wish your child to come to school in wet weather wearing either boots or trainers, please make sure that they have their school shoes with them to change into.

Valentine’s Disco

Please remember to bring your ticket with you on the night:Wednesday 6thFebruary 5-6.30pm.

We are looking forward to a great event.

Sacramental Programme

We have revised dates for our Yr 3 children undertaking the Sacramental programme and will send them to you as soon as possible.

Internet Safety Day

Next Tuesday is national Internet Safety Day.  It will be celebrated globally with the theme: ‘Together for a better internet.’

The aim of the day  is to inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibily, respectfully, critically and creatively.

At school, children will take part in assemblies and workshops.  Please see www.saferinternetday.org.uk for more information.

Thank you very much to Mrs Hogg, our Computer Leader, for organising the day.

Please do discuss this at home.

Thank you to everyone who called in. If you were unable to attend, please contact the office if you would like to arrange to see your child’s teacher.
