Summer Term

Welcome back to everyone and Happy Easter!  

We have a busy summer term as usual including our class trips in July – see letters going home today.  Yr 3 children are especially busy as they prepare for First Holy Communion on 6thJuly.  

Please be reminded that there is a meeting for Yr 3 children (taking part in the Sacramental Programme) and their parents/carers on Thursday 16thMay, 7pmParish Hall ‘God’s Word’ and a celebration during Mass on Saturday 18thMay, 6.30pmwhere they will be presented with a gift. 

Class 6 Assembly

Family and friends of children in Class 6 are invited to school on Friday 3rdMay as they present their class assembly at 10am.  Please join us if you can and stay for a cup of tea afterwards.

Road closure

Briercliffe Road will be completely closed to traffic from 23rdApril – 3rdMay, from Queen Victoria Road to the hospital.  Please allow extra time for your journey to school during this time.

Breakfast Club

Please see the letter going home today about places in our Breakfast Club for September 2019.  If you are interested, please respond as soon as possible as places are very limited.  

Sporting Events

Next week, some of our pupils will represent us in Cross Country at Towneley Park.  Some Yr 5 pupils will take part in football on Thursday and Yr 6 have Dance on Friday.  See separate letters please.

Easter Fayre

Thank you very much to everyone for supporting us, we raised an amazing £805.46!  We really do appreciate your support and will let you know how we plan to spend the money raised.

Parents’ Evening 

We look forward to seeing you in school next Tuesday 30thfor Parents’ Evening.  During your appointment, you will be asked to check the information on your child’s data collection sheet.

School Uniform

Please will you make sure that all items of clothing are clearly marked with your child’s name, especially as in the warmer weather, jumpers etc are taken on and off.

Polling Station

Class 8 will be used at a Polling Station on 2ndMay and 23rdMay.  School will be open for all pupils as usual, C8 will be based in our Computer Suite.
