School Faith-life

Next week, Class 9 will lead Collective Worship for us.  Our focus will be Our Lady of Lourdes.  

Please encourage discussions at home.


Class 8 Assembly

Family and friends of children in Class 8 are very welcome to join us in school on Friday 15th February, 10am for Class 8’s assembly.


Holidays this term

School is closed this term as follows:
Half-term: Mon 18th– Fri 22ndFebruary
Easter break: Mon 1st– Fri 12thApril
Easter Bank Holidays: Fri 19th& Mon 22ndApril


Valentine’s Lunch

Our school kitchen is providing a special lunch on Thursday 14th February. 

If your child doesn’t usually have school lunches but would like to join us please order by Monday 11thFFebruary £2.10 (Juniors).


Pupil Absence

If your child is ill and isn’t coming into school, please ring the office before 9.30am.  

You can leave a message before 8am or if you would like to speak to a member of staff please ring after 8am.  

Please tell us your child’s name, class and the nature of their illness. 


School uniform

Please can I remind you that all children should wear school shoes, not black trainers or black boots.  If you wish your child to come to school in wet weather wearing either boots or trainers, please make sure that they have their school shoes with them to change into.


Sporting News

Next week some of our pupils will take part in a Tag Rugby tournament on Wed 13th (see separate letter home for details).  Netball coaching continues too for selected Yr 5 & 6 pupils on Tues 12th


Sacramental Programme

We have revised dates for our Yr 3 children undertaking the Sacramental programme and will send them to you shortly.  Please note the revised date for First Holy Communion – Sat 6thJuly, 11am.


Days of Prayer for Vocations

Throughout 2019 there will be days of prayer for Vocations to the Priesthood and Consecrated Life in churches, chapels and schools in the Diocese of Salford.  Our Day of Prayer is Friday 5thApril.


Vacancy for Parent Governor

We have a vacancy for a Parent Governor on our Governing Body.  Please see separate letter for details. If you are interested in this position, please get in touch.


Snow closure

We will do all we can to avoid closure due to snow.  If we have to close, we will give as much notice as possible via text, 2BR radio and our website.
