The school’s aim is to work in partnership with parents and maintain open and positive relationships. From time to time a parent may express concern or make a complaint about some aspects of the conduct/operation of the school. Most of these concerns will be dealt with informally but the school has a procedure to ensure that any concern or complaint you may have is properly investigated and, wherever possible resolved.

General Complaints
Should be made in person, by telephone or in writing to the Head teacher at the school. If the complaint is about the Head teacher or a governor it should be referred to the Chair of Governors.

The aim of the complaints procedure is to resolve the matter as speedily as possible. First the Head teacher will try to establish the facts and respond to your complaint.

Most matters can usually be dealt with in this way. If this does not resolve the matter to your satisfaction then you will be asked to complete the Complaints Form. This should be given to the Chair of Governors. The Complaints Form is available on the website.

If you are still not satisfied then you can appeal to a special Committee of the Governing Body. Full details are available from the Complaints Procedure.

Curriculum Complaints
Should be taken up firstly with the Head teacher verbally or in writing if satisfaction is not gained then Curriculum Complaints should be addressed to the Schools Advisor, LEA, The Globe, Accrington.
