Catholic social teaching (CST) is centred by our faith, rooted in Scripture, and formed by the wisdom of Church leaders. It is our moral compass, guiding us on how to live out our faith in the world. Our faith calls us to love God and to love our neighbours in every situation, especially our sisters and brothers living in poverty. Following in the footsteps of Christ, we hope to make present in our unjust and broken world, the justice, love and peace of God.

At St John’s we prepare pupils for life in modern Britain by developing their understanding of the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.

Through our Mission and Values, the school provides pupils with meaningful opportunities to understand how to be responsible, respectful, active citizens who contribute positively to society guided by faith , recognizing we are all made in the image of God.
