Year of the Word

This week in Year of the Word, we have focused on the Transfiguration of our Lord. This is a story told in the New Testament of how Jesus took three of his disciples to a mountaintop, where they were privileged to see him in his glory.

Peter was amazed, but Jesus knew he had to return from the mountain to face his terrible death before he could attain his future glory.

This story reminds us of the greater good – that Lent is a time for us to grow stronger in our faith, to gain greater inner strength and resilience and to be kinder and more conscientious so that we are prepared for all that life has to offer.

Please ask your child about what they have learned.
