Mass at School

We would like to say a big thank you to all who attended the Mass in school on Thurs 16th January.

Bishop John attended the Mass and was very complimentary about our wonderful school, excellently behaved pupils and supportive school community.

He looks forward to attending future events at St John’s and within the Romero Catholic Trust.


Football Tournament

Our school football team have had a fantastic season so far and have qualified to represent our local borough at the Year 5/6 Danone Cup Football County Finals on Fri 24th Jan in Fleetwood. We wish them all the best and will be very proud of them whatever the score!

Recycling Workshop

On Thurs 23rd January, Konflux Theatre will be in school to present a workshop on Recycling to Classes 4, 5, 6 and 7. We feel this topic is very relevant and hope our children are able to improve on our recycling processes in school.


Sports Crew Training

On Tues 21st January in the afternoon, some of Class 8 will be partaking in Sports Crew Training in school. We hope they enjoy it and look forward to hearing their feedback.


Cash at St John’s

Please be advised that shortly, we will be introducing a cashless system. School dinners, Breakfast and After School Club, trips etc will be paid for online.  More details to follow soon.


Leave during term-time

Please be reminded that, in line with our Attendance Policy, leave during term-time for family holidays cannot be granted.  Please contact school if you require more details or wish to discuss this.


Foodbank Fridays – CAFOD Live Simply

As mentioned before Christmas, each Friday this term we are collecting items (tinned goods; dried food; toiletries etc) for the local foodbank.  This is part of our school’s support for CAFOD’s Live Simply campaign.  Thank you in advance.
