Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year
As we come to the end of Advent, we would like to wish everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Thank you very much for all your support this term at St John’s.
Thank you for attending events in school such as class assemblies and theme work celebrations.
Thank you too for your generous support in our charity events including our harvest and CAFOD collections and thank you for supporting our PTFA disco and Christmas Fayre – we are extremely grateful for all your help and support.

In the Spring Term, each Friday, we are collecting items (tinned goods, dried food, toiletries etc) for the local foodbank.
This is part of our school’s support for CAFOD’s Live Simply campaign – more details in the new year.
Bishop John Mass at School
We are delighted to annouce that Bishop John will join us in school to celebrate the new term and year, and our joining the Romero Trust.
Please join us in school for the Mass on Thursday 16th January, 9.30am – all welcome.
Sacramental Programme Meeting
Year 3 families are invitied to a meeting with Father David on Tuesday 14th January at 7pm in the parish rooms.
Please attend if your child is baptised and you wish them to join the Sacramental Programme this year.
Cash at St John’s
Please be advised that in the new year, we will be introducing a cashless system. School dinners, Breakfast and After School Club, trips etc will be paid for online. We will give you more information and plenty of notice in the new year.

Well done to our Year 5/6 football team who progressed to the quarter-finals of the Hartley Cup last week with a victory over St Leonard’s, Padiham.
