Dear Parents and Carers

I hope you are all well.  This week the School Expectation we have focused on is number 2: ‘Be kind and helpful’.  Staff have reported lots of examples of this and I have received many lovely emails from you telling me how your children are behaving in this way at home.

Staffing news

We are delighted to announce that Mr Brown’s baby has arrived – welcome Stanley!  We are looking forward to meeting him and having Mr Brown back in school soon.  This term we welcome teaching student Miss Ali, she will be based in Class 3 with Miss Dunderdale.  


October events

October is Black History Month.  The mission statement for 2021 is ‘Dig deeper, look closer, think bigger.’  We will explore this later in the month.  It is also School Library Month which we will celebrate on 20th October and the Big Draw art event on … more details to follow.


Reading Challenge  

We are delighted to announce we have another Platinum Reading Challenge Award Winner – Chiara Emmerson.  Chiara has read and reviewed 200 books!!! We are so proud of her.  

Bronze Award Winners – Evie Bracewell, Bella Thomas, Armagan Tariq, Sophie Schofield, Stevie Brown, Kamilis Stonkus, Abel Litto, Mustafa Ishtiaq; Silver Award Winners – Dion Lopez, Josh Hutchinson, Conner Davies.

We are very grateful to Dominic Aunger for his CAFOD presentation in Collective Worship today.
